The difference between a common issue and a grail is often one panel. ComicBrain flags first appearances, origin stories and major keys as soon as the book is identified — with the reason it matters, not just a badge.

What you get with ComicBrain

ComicBrain is a subscription app: the download is free, and full access comes with the subscription. Where your store offers an introductory free trial, the purchase screen shows it before you commit.

Start with the app

Price, any introductory offer and renewal terms are set by the App Store or Google Play and are shown on the purchase screen in your region before you buy. If a trial is offered it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel beforehand, and you can cancel any time from your store subscription settings.

They are estimates derived from catalogue data, not a live third-party price feed. The app says so on every market card rather than implying a connection it does not have. Treat the figures as a guide for what to look into, and confirm against recent sales before you buy or sell anything that matters.
No. It is an AI estimate based on visible cover and spine condition, and the app states in-line that it is not an official CGC, CBCS or PGX grade. ComicBrain is not affiliated with any grading company — only they can grade a book.
Every match comes back with a confidence score. Identification is AI-assisted, so verify anything that matters — especially on variant-heavy runs and reprints, where the cover alone can be misleading. If a scan will not land, Ask ComicBrain narrows it down by asking you a few questions instead.
Yes — frame the slab the same way you would a raw book. Slabbed and raw copies of the same issue are valued differently in the app, which is the point of the grade tiers.
Yes — an account is what lets your long boxes, collection and scan history follow you to a new phone. You can sign up with an email address, or continue with Google or Apple.
The app is free to download and full access comes with a subscription. Prices, any introductory offer and renewal terms are set and billed by the App Store or Google Play, so the exact figures are always the ones shown on the purchase screen in your region. Cancel any time from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Subscriptions on Android; access continues to the end of the paid period.
